FOR KIDS

We offer nursery care, privacy rocking chairs and worship bags for in-church activity for the youngest in our pews. Our new Director of Youth & Children's Ministries will join us in late July 2017.  Soon thereafter, we'll be announcing faith formation classes and programs for children of all ages.

What Can You Expect?

A warm welcome!

We try to lead worship in a way that is true to our inherited traditions while exploring new expressions of our faith.  Some of our members come to church in suits and dresses, others in jeans and t-shirts.  *Children are always welcome in church but for those parents who prefer, infant and toddler care is provided every Sunday beginning at 9:00am. *Visit our Youth Formation page to learn more if desired.

Please fill out and return the "Welcome/Connect" card you'll find in our pews; share whatever and whenever you're comfortable.

ReStore Gift Certificate Flood Help

ER&D Grant Allows SJEC To Help In Flood Recovery

Episcopal Relief & Development’s US Emergency Relief Program approved a $10,000 grant to help Midlanders replace lost furnishings and/or make minor home repairs related to the recent flooding.  Our Diocesan Council approved an additional $5,000 to further the reach.  St. John’s applied for the grant, proposing a partnership with Midland County’s Habitat for Humanity, in which *gift certificates will be distributed through our parish office and redeemed at ReStore, Habitat for Humanity’s non-profit retail outlet specializing in resale of new and previously owned building materials, home furnishings and appliances, well discounted off comparable retail prices.

*** Distribution will officially begin 12:00PM Tuesday, July 18.***

A note to those requesting gift certificates:  You will be required to provide name, address and phone to receive the certificate and advised to report your flood damage.  Certificate is valid through December 31, 2017 and has a value of $150, redeemable only at the Midland ReStore, 1703 S. Saginaw Rd., Midland, MI.

Limit of one certificate per household.  Absolutely no replacement for lost or stolen gift certificates. 100 certificates will be distributed on first-come, first serve basis to those coming in person to our parish office.  We will not accept calls or emails to hold certificates.

A note to parishioners:  Please be mindful of the increased foot and phone traffic our parish office will experience in carrying out this outreach program.  Advance notice of office business visits is always appreciated. Thank you.     Carol Sullivan, Ministry Coordinator
