10:00 AM - Holy Eucharist - traditional worship with music, infant care, children's ministry

12:00 PM - Holy Eucharist - contemplative worship in an intimate setting in the chancel area of our sanctuary

DIRECTIONS & PARKING   

St. John's Episcopal Church is located at 405 N. Saginaw Road, between St. Andrew's Rd. and Hillcrest Rd. The main entrance for worship is through the gates closest to St. Andrew's Rd.  The main entrance for parish offices is in the Griswold Ministry Center, closer to Hillcrest Rd.  Ramp and railing are present at both entrances, with option to use an automatic-opening door to enter and exit the Griswold Ministry Center.

Handicap and First Time Visitor parking spaces are marked near the entrance to the Griswold Ministry Center, closer to the north end of our parking lot and Hillcrest Rd. 

If you need physical assistance, please let our greeters and ushers know.

FOR KIDS

Our current Children & Youth Ministries Director joined us August 2017.  We offer formation classes and creative outreach activities for children of all ages. We also offer nursery care, privacy rocking chairs and worship bags for in-church activity for the youngest ages.

What Can You Expect?

A warm welcome! 

We try to lead worship in a way that is true to our inherited traditions while exploring new expressions of our faith.  Some of our members come to church in suits and dresses, others in jeans and t-shirts.  *Children are always welcome in church but for those parents who prefer, infant and toddler care is provided every Sunday beginning at 9:00am. *Visit our Children & Youth Formation page to learn more.

Each summer, St. John's Episcopal Church hosts a Vacation Bible School.  Images above are from recent years' VBS.  In the past, we've held it on weeknights in August and age groups have ranged from those entering Kindergarten through 5th grade.  We offer this VBS free of charge but do ask participants to register in advance so we may plan accordingly.

 Passport to Peru: Discovering God's Good Gifts

St. John's Episcopal Church hosts VBS Monday, August 21 - Thursday, August 24, 2017, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM each night.  This VBS is for those entering Kindergarten through 5th grade.  We offer this VBS free of charge but do ask participants to register in advance so we may plan accordingly.  

Theme: Passport To Peru: Discovering God's Good Gifts

Scriptures of the Week:

2 Corinthians 1:4  He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

Psalm 23  God is our Good Shepherd,  Psalm 27:14 We wait patiently for the Lord

Luke 2: 21-40 Simeon & Anna wait patiently for the Messiah

John 14:27  And the peace I give is a gift the world can not give.

Mark 4: 35-41  Jesus calms the wind and waves

1 Corinthians 13:13 The greatest of these is love

Luke 22:66-24:12  Jesus dies and comes back to life

What else? A Family BBQ to wrap up on Thursday, Aug. 24 + Games, Crafts, Story-telling, Snacks, Learning & Fun every night!

St. John's Episcopal Church is pleased to offer, free of charge, Cross Culture's Passport to Peru Vacation Bible School this August, where youngsters will take an unforgettable VBS trek! Through games, crafts, snacks and stories, children will experience this unique culture.  Most importantly, they will discover how much God loves the world.  Help us shape confident, faith-filled kids who understand the power of Jesus’ love in a diverse world.
