St. John's Episcopal Church is located at 405 N. Saginaw Road, between St. Andrew's Rd. and Hillcrest Rd. The main entrance for worship is through the gates closest to St. Andrew's Rd.  The main entrance for parish offices is in the Griswold Ministry Center, closer to Hillcrest Rd.  Ramp and railing are present at both entrances, with option to use an automatic-opening door to enter and exit the Griswold Ministry Center.

Handicap and First Time Visitor parking spaces are marked near the entrance to the Griswold Ministry Center, closer to the north end of our parking lot and Hillcrest Rd.

Our full time Children & Youth Ministries Director joined us August 2017.  We offer formation classes and creative outreach activities for children of all ages. We also offer nursery care, privacy rocking chairs and worship bags for in-church activity for the youngest ages.

A warm welcome! 

We try to lead worship in a way that is true to our inherited traditions while exploring new expressions of our faith.  Some of our members come to church in suits and dresses, others in jeans and t-shirts.  *Children are always welcome in church but for those parents who prefer, infant and toddler care is provided every Sunday beginning at 9:00am. *Visit our Children & Youth Formation page to learn more.

Solo Piano Concert

Passionate Friendship: Works of Brahms, Schumann

Pianist MiJung Choe Trepanier presents "Passionate Friendship: Piano Solo Works of Johannes Brahms, Clara and Robert Schumann” at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Midland.  While admission is free, good will donations for this event are encouraged.

MiJung C. Trepanier, D.M.A. is an independent performer, teacher, and lecturer. She has been elected one of the artists in the Michigan Council Performance Touring Program in 2012-2018.  She had performed solo recitals at the Grove Music Festival, The Global Children Foundation in Steinway Hall, and the opening night at the Michigan Music Teacher Annual Convention, Vespers Music Series and Concert Series at St. Claire.

She has appeared as a soloist with orchestra in Korea and the United States. Her performance with the Saginaw/Bay Orchestra under the baton of late Maestro Patrick Flynn March 2008 received great review.  She is also a collaborative artist who has given many performances at various settings in Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Korea, and Michigan.

As an active educator, she has served not only as an adjudicator in the Midwest but also given public lectures to music teachers and their local communities.  She has given a presentation at Michigan Music Teacher Annual Conference (October, 2016) and a workshop for music teachers at the Herter Music Center (August, 2015).  She has taught at Southern Utah University, Alma College and Saginaw Valley State University.

She received her D.M.A. at Michigan State University in 2003 under Ms. Yong Hi Moon and Dai Uk Lee. While attending MSU, she performed as a soloist with the MSU Symphony Orchestra. She has studied and had masterclasses with well-known pianists and educators such as Russell Sherman, John Perry, Rebecca Pennys, Peter Tacaks and Yoheved Kaplinsky; and festival appearances at Bowdoin Summer Music, the Chautauqua Institute, Aria Summer Music in Canada, and Wiener Musik Seminar in Austria.  Her competitive accolades include finalist in the Grace Welsh Competition, the KBS Broadcast Young Artist Competition, and winner of the Michigan State University’s Honors Competition.
