3 Year Old Enrichment Class
Tuesday 11:15 a.m.‒ 1:00 p.m.
The Three’s Enrichment Program is an extension of the Three’s morning program. The enrichment program class size limit is 8 students. This program is taught by a qualified Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher with the assistance of a qualified ECE teacher’s aide. This means that the adult to student ratio is 1 to 4! Tuition for the 2011-2012 school year is $324.
The enrichment program is designed to build on the themes presented in the morning class. More work with colors, shapes, nature, weather, seasons, and much more. This program provides a unique opportunity for your child to work and play with a small group of children and highly skilled teachers. They will also have the experience of staying at school later in the day and eating a lunch there, the highlight for many of the children! A daily plan will look like the following:
11:15 – 11:30 Curbside Pick-Up, Coats: Bid farewell to the morning friends and return downstairs. The children will take off their coats and hang them in their cubbies and meet the teacher in the Foyer.
11:30 – 11:45 Story Time, Afternoon Plans: The children and teacher will gather to read another wonderful story together to begin the extended day. Following the story will be a discussion regarding the afternoon plans.
11:45 – 12:20 Enrichment: This time will be spent doing an activity that will enhance the morning theme. It may include drama, cooking, science experiments, art, etc. There are so many things that work best in a small group! On nice days, some time will be spent outside exploring and visiting our playground.
12:20 – 12:30 Hand Washing: Before lunch, the children will be escorted to the bathroom to wash their hands.
12:30 – 12:50 Lunch: Children and teachers will bring their own lunches and sit together while eating and having wonderful conversations.
12:50 – 1:00 Coats, Backpacks, Curbside Pick-Up: The children will get on their coats and backpacks, and line up outside alongside the brick wall to be picked up.
