4 & 5's Enrichment Class
Mondays 11:15 a.m. ‒ 1:45 p.m.
The Four’s and Five’s Enrichment Program is an extension of the Four’s and Five’s morning program. The enrichment program class size limit is 8 students. This program is taught by a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher with the assistance of a teacher’s aide. This means that the adult to student ratio is 1 to 4! Tuition for the 2011-2012 school year is $478.50.
The enrichment program is designed to build on the themes presented in the morning class. The students will continue experimenting with writing by drawing, coloring & painting, sorting, exploring materials, patterning, sequencing and matching. This program provides a unique opportunity for your child to work and play with a small group of children and work with highly skilled teachers. They will also have the experience of staying at school later in the day and eating a lunch there, the highlight for many of the children! A daily plan will look like the following:
11:15 – Bid farewell to our morning friends at curb-side pick-up.
11:20 – Return to the preschool, meet for a story and a discussion of our afternoon plan.
11:35-12:00 – Enrichment activity related to our morning theme – drama, cooking, science experiments, nature walks, art, etc…. There are so many things that work best in a small group!
12:00-12:10 – Clean up and wash hands.
12:10-12:30 – Lunch
12:30-1:35 – Developmental Play, Music and Movement, Outdoor Play. When weather permits, we may use this time to enjoy our wonderful, enclosed play yard.
1:35-1:45 – Prepare to go home, meet parents at curb-side pick-up.
